    Hi,

We just updated the plugin yesterday from 2.3.7 to 2.3.8 and the site has become very slow.

I haven’t checked server logs yet. As I’m in the process of undoing the update.

But something is very wrong with the new version.

    Thanks

  • @jandal can you share with me how you undid the update?

I did the update too, my site now hardly does anything when you click on a link, half my translations don’t work and I can’t edit them either. Been 2 days, still waiting for a response from support.

The same problem here. It’s really slow after the update and before that – fatal errors connected with the plugin every day (“Allowed memory size of… exhausted…”).

The same for me. My woocomerce shop not working at all now. Constant boot with no result. Back to previous version of TP and everything back to normal.

Undid the update, back to the previous TP version (2.3.7), the site works but is still much slower than it used to be. Nothing else has changed. Any ideas what I can do?

I had the same problem, the plugin is generating database errors. I had an error log of 40 gigas, and the website is super slow.

I tried to update the database but with no success, the only way to fix was downgrading to the previous version 2.3.7.

I notice they haven’t released an update for it.

@pleazo All I did was take a copy of the old version (2.3.7) and FTP it into the plugin’s directory. Things went back to normal, no obvious issues with the DB having been updated to 2.3.8, thankfully in my case.

I hope they can address this soon. Appears to be targeting specific installs, maybe server or plugin combinations. We do have WooComm installed and a heap of other things.

I haven’t had time to analyze logs to see where the issue is.

    Site very slow me too…
    It wasn’t like that before.

It’s a normal website. Nothing special.
But with TranslatePress the pages loads in 22 secondes!!! 22 seconds!!!
I disable TranslatePress the page loads in 1 or 2 seconds.
    It’s a big problem!

Someone found a solution to fix it?

I have the pro version and the support is not super fast or efficient to help us.

Resolved? Wow! Does it mean there’s a good solution? I think I’ve tried everything and my site is still suuuuuuper slow. I have great and efficient hosting, all the caching enabled, and I checked all the advanced options in the TP plugin. I had to deactivate the plugin, otherwise, I would have lost all my clients. The site is blazing fast now, but it’s not multilingual anymore…
