Hello, I’d like to activate the Cost Calculator Builder extension after downloading it, but unfortunately I’m getting an error message “The extension could not be activated, as it triggered a fatal error.”.

I’ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling the extension, but it still doesn’t work.

I’ve also installed another extension to see if it does the same thing, but no, I can’t get it to work.

And everything is up to date, whether it’s my extensions, my theme or WP.

[28-May-2024 00:29:55 UTC] PHP Fatal error: Cannot declare interface enshrined\svgSanitize\data\TagInterface, because the name is already in use in wp-content\plugins\cost-calculator-builder\includes\helpers\sanitizer\data\TagInterface.php on line 10

    Hello @mx5918,

Thank you for your detailed response.

The PHP Fatal error you’re encountering indicates that there’s a conflict with the interface enshrined\svgSanitize\data\TagInterface, likely due to a previous installation of the cost calculator plugin. To resolve this, follow these steps:

    1. Access your website’s files using FTP or cPanel.
    2. Navigate to the wp-content/plugins directory.
    3. Locate the cost-calculator-builder plugin folder and delete it entirely.
    4. After deleting the old plugin files, reinstall the cost calculator plugin.

This should prevent conflicts with duplicate plugin files and interface names, allowing the plugin to function correctly.

If the issue persists, turn off both the theme and any other plugins. Next, try installing the Cost Calculator Builder plugin. It should be installed smoothly. Then, gradually re-enable each theme and plugin to identify which one shares a similar interface name and is causing conflicts.

    Best,

    Lisa

    Hello @ghost994,

Thank you for providing additional information. If a fresh installation of WordPress still encounters the same issue with the cost calculator plugin, it suggests that the problem might be related to a broader conflict within your server environment or specific configurations.

In such cases, I recommend reaching out to your web hosting provider for assistance. They can help investigate server-side configurations or any other underlying issues that might be causing the conflict with the plugin.

Additionally, you may want to double-check if there are any server-level restrictions or security measures in place that could be affecting plugin installations or file operations.

If the hosting provider confirms that everything is set up correctly on their end, we might need to engage a developer and QA team to perform a more in-depth analysis of the issue and provide targeted solutions.

I hope this helps, and I wish you the best of luck in resolving the issue swiftly.

    Warm regards,

    Lisa

Thanks for the help, I finally found the problem.

I’m sharing it with people who are or will be in the same situation as me:

The “Elementor Header & Footer Builder” extension (in this case version 1.6.34) prevents “Cost Calculator Builder” from being activated (I have no idea why).

I first deactivated “Elementor Header & Footer Builder”, then activated “Cost Calculator Builder” and reactivated “Elementor Header & Footer Builder”, and everything works perfectly.

Thanks again for your responsiveness and have a nice day!
