The Exact Mime Type for DWG files

    Hey, what is the exact mime type for dwg files that WordPress uses?

    I have gone through the following:

    ‘application/acad’, ‘application/x-acad’, ‘application/autocad_dwg’, ‘image/x-dwg’, ‘application/dwg’, ‘application/x-dwg’, ‘application/x-autocad’, ‘-mage/vnd.dwg’, ‘drawing/dwg’,

    and none of them takes the cake.

  • Do you resolve this? I am now having the same issue trying to enable dwg files to open in wordpress. Files were added via ftp upload, but hyperlink will send you to a 404 page.

    AutoCAD files are not openable in a browser. They are a propietary file format that requires the AutoCAD program or other program that can read .dwg file formats.
