I am using a WordPress site with The Event Calendar Plugin for my client’s website and the site loads perfectly with no issue.

But when i check the site with https://gtmetrix.com/ I get this error.

The following requests are returning 404/410 responses. Either fix the broken links, or remove the references to the non-existent resources.

After Google for some time i tried with https://www.brokenlinkcheck.com/ and it gives me this error.

Failed to connect to https://www.ira-upskills.com/ with HTTP Response code 404. If the domain name above is correct and your website is up then possibly

I set the theme back to default Twenty Fifteen and still i get the same error.

I try contacting the hosting service and they have no idea.

    Can anyone help me?

It looks like you have no (upcoming) events and WordPress is therefore returning a 404 (because you’ve configured your homepage to show your events, and there are none).

Do you anticipate adding events in the near future? Not to diminish the problem, but it seems odd to place the main events view on your homepage if it is likely to be empty of events most of the time.

On our side, we’ll certainly explore options to avoid this situation in the future.

Yes, Barry there are events coming soon in the near future. I did not configure anything in the homepage, i set it to list view by default in the settings.

Is there any way to avoid this while testing this page on gtmetrix.

Currently list view seems to be empty, suggesting that you don’t have any upcoming events just yet (or perhaps they are drafts and haven’t been published).

Ensuring you have a few published events would certainly be the fastest way to resolving this. Is that viable until we roll out a more substantive fix?

    Noted.
Hopefully there is some other way in future to fix this and also there is no proper documentation for this. so we were wondering the issue is from our side.

Definitely — we have logged a bug for this so it ought to be addressed in a future release.
