“The email address you entered was invalid.”

  • Can anyone give me a clue here? All of the sudden I’m getting the error “The email address you entered was invalid.” when you try to post comments (logged-in or not). Even when you HAND ENTER an address, you get this error.

    It’s driving me nuts trying to figure it out.

  • What anti-spam measures are you using, and are you sure they are uptodate ?

    I installed “Bad Behavior” AFTER this started happening… before that, I honestly do not remember doing anything in the area of comment spam control.

    On your plugins screen, you dont have SpamKarma, hashCash, Spaminator .. ?

    No, I sure don’t. I did install a few items by Lester “GaMerZ” Chan… I’m wondering if one of them did that. I guess I’ll have to go through and “remove” them to find out. It’s a mystery to me what happened. I installed:

    Try posting the comment again with all plugins disabled. Do you see the same invalid email error?

    What is the email address? Perhaps the regex is failing.

    I have no idea what the problem was. I finally just deleted the entire site and put things back piece-by-piece. I think it was one of the mods listed above that did it, but after reinstalling them from scratch, everything works now. Go figure. Thanks for everyones help.
