The “Elementor Data Updater” problems continue

    Hi, I’m still having problems with the last update of Elementor (I also have Elementor Pro). I tried everything, deactivating even almost all plugins but without success.

    After updating Elementor to the latest version, the button with this recommendation appears: “Elementor data updater” The database update process is running in the background. Taking a while? Click here to run it now

    When I click it, it never updates, my server collapses and sometimes it takes me to the error site https://mysite.com/wp-admin/plugins.php?elementor_updater=continue&_wpnonce=4c48961922

    When I install the previous versions 2.68 or 2.70 everything works without problems, but when I process to update to 2.71 everything gets complicated.

    Your support with this please.

    Two days have passed but we have no response or feedback from Elementor to solve this problem. I had to go back to version 2.68 because otherwise my site collapses, I have tried eliminating several projects and looking for other solutions but without success.

    I hope we have a patch or solution about it today. It would be good if Elementor at least informs us that he is reviewing the problem.

    Same problem on a large site with more of 15M PV at month. The SQL server (8 cores) were about at 94% (all cores) for about 3 hours and the same advice shows on the admin “Elementor Data Updater – Database update process is running in the background”. We roll back to version 2.7.0 and still showing the: “Elementor Data Updater – Database update process is running in the background” (we don’t want to make clic on “Click here to run it now) because it can crash ower site. The consumtion dosen’t down.

    Update: Well after an half hour the message dissapear. And the load came back to normaly with version 2.7.0.

    PLEASE DO NOT UPDATE ELEMENTOR TO VERSION 2.7.1. It will crash your site and crash your server.

    Come on Elementor!, how many days and websites down to fix the problem?

    Hello friends

    I just updated to Elementor 2.7.2 (It is now available), the update went well and then I pressed the button: “Elementor data updater” without fear:

    This problem was solved for me, waiting for your comments before closing the thread.

    I still got the same issue going from 2.68 to 2.72 (stuck database update process – ‘Click here to run it now’). So back to 2.68 again…

    I had this issue, i temporarily disabled jet elements and it fixed the issue, so for me it was that plug in issue

    having the same issue, but cant click on the “Version Control” tab (https://my-site.com/wp-admin/admin.php?page=elementor-tools#tab-versions
    it’s simply not accessible..

    Any other way to roll back to the previous version?

    I am still having this issue on a large ecommerce site and I have both free and pro versions of elementor. I tried the suggested disable jetpack but this did not fix it for me.

    I have same issue in Elementor in my two website :

    The solution is to back to another old version :
    Go into Elementor -> Tools -> Versions -> and do a rollback to 2.6.8 or 2.7.0. It will run the data updater again but should take just a minute or less”
