  • Hi @gretchenlouise, thanks for the feedback.

I can see from your log that you are running WordPress 4.9.2, so you must be using the Gutenberg plugin (and not the one shipped with WordPress core).

Can you teel me the version of Gutenberg you are using?

    Thanks in advance.

@asreurotux No, I’m running WordPress 5.3.2 with the Beloved Theme theme. Using Genesis 3.2.1. The Gutenberg plugin is not installed or active.

Classic Editor is active, but I switched to Block Editor. Could that be a problem?

I’m receiving this same error; WordPress 5.3.2 and Gutenberg 7.6.0

Actually my error message is different: “This block has encountered an error and cannot be previewed” when I add a Post Block to a new Page. Posts do not appear for selection.

I don’t see any errors in the apache log.

The Chrome developer console shows ‘index.js The block “wp-post-block/multimedia-block” must have a registered category.’

I get the same as sstrudeau.

    I’m using 5.4.2.

I’d love to know if anyone is going to look at this, it’s exactly the plugin I was looking for. Very intuitive apparently according to the docs.

    Hi everyone,

Thank you so much for the feedback.

A new version of the plugin has been released (v1.0.2) which resolves this issue and many more.

Can you please update the plugin please?

    Thanks in advance.

@asreurotux looks like you nailed it!

    Thanks v. much!

Just one niggle: the article I’m using is in 2 categories, but Post-Block is only showing one category, and it’s not the primary category.

And it’s not got any excerpt – in fact I see there’s no option to turn on the excerpt, is that right?

@ahardy42 When a post has multiple categories, only the one most recently related to it will be shown. In this version there is no filter either to change which category to display.

About the excerpt, should be available an option in the block called “Show lead” to display the post excerpt, if he has one.

OK, I’ll start a different thread on this subject.

Thanks for fixing the main issue!
