The directory needs to be writable

Hey Brad,
I am super new to migrating sites (and to be honest, WP in general). I am trying to build a site on Desktop Server https://serverpress.com/products/desktopserver/ and under Tools it is saying that the “directory /volumes/……/ needs to be writable. I have the current file path set to an external hard drive where I have the site saved.
Any ideas?
