The definition of flexible
-
Another fabulous gift to the community from Kadence. An honest premium quality theme, no fineprint.
“Ascend” can be tuned to meet all your needs, turned into [almost] anything. Lots of settings, lots of fine tuning available, including complete set of Google fonts. This is one of the rarest themes that are ready for any language, not only English. This is precious.
Its flexibility is both the best and the worst thing about it, though. I’ve spent almost 2 hours drafting it to my liking, and that’s not the final setup. So I won’t recommend it to a newbie who doesn’t want to spend time tweaking and changing and messing around with the theme. However, if you take your time with it, the result will be a very good looking website.
Theme is moderately documented. Would definitely profit from more detailed instructions. For example, it took me some time to understand how to make the featured image display on the single post view. But then again, the theme’s probably aimed at experienced users, who are not afraid to poke around.
All in all, an excellend theme. Very flexible, beautiful and responsive. Learning curve might feel a bit steep, though. But then, it’s free… ??
