    Hello,

After installing the plugin and without making any changes in the plugin dashboard, new roles were added to WordPress. Also after uninstalling the plugin, these roles were not removed. I reinstalled the site (including database) using a backup from the previous day by using Jetbackup 5 directly from the server. Additionally, I used the All-in-One WP Migration plugin to run a backup, but no changes occurred, and the roles persisted in the WordPress user creation section.

I would like to understand the following aspects:

    1. How much it affected the permissions associated with each role, including Administrator, Editor, etc.?
    2. Is it still possible to revert to the default roles in WordPress?

Please check the screen shoot form the link

User Role Editor does not add any user role automatically itself, only user capabilities (starting from ‘ure_’).

I see Customer and Shop Manager roles in addition to WordPress built-in 5 roles. These roles are added automatically by WooCommerce plugin.

Role Translator may be added by some other plugin.

As restore from backup does not help, those user roles were added already on the moment of that backup copy creation.

URE has ‘Reset’ button at the last tab “Tools” of the “Settings->User Role Editor” page. But be very careful!!! If you apply this button, you will receive only 5 WP built-in user roles unchanged (as on the moment of the 1st WP installation). You will lose any changes applied to user roles by plugins you activate on site earlier.
