    Hello dear WordXpressers!

When you right-click any page you have the option of viewing the page source. Here i can see everything on my page, post, links etc.

If I make change in this file on my local computer e.g. adding a few links and edit some posts, instead of changing it all via the admin page, how can I upload this new XHTML file or just the contents of it?

    You don’t.

For content changes (such as Posts, Pages, links in the link manager, etc.) you login to WordPress and edit.

Thx for answer but please read:

If i can extract these data by viewing the source and edit it as an XHTML there must be some way to apply the changes done to that particular XHTML ….

If you’re viewing source of a web page, you’re not extracting XHTML. You’re looking at a rendered page after WP has finished it’s processes. Logic is applied. Filtering has happened. Theme files have been assembled and displayed.

As you’re probably aware, the database CONTAINS the content. WP assembles it.

There is no means to support local editing of a rendered page and then submitting it back in for updates.

Closest thing I could think of would be a custom app that directly accesses the data in the MySQL database… Granted, that’s what the admin pages already do.

So, perhaps you could share just a wee bit more about your goals and objectives related to this topic? They “why” of it, in other words.

I have edited a whole lot of things in my “view sourced” XHTML I would like to put up on the page. And i dont want to do it one by one like in the Admin page.

    Thats why i ask

    But I understand it’s impossible, thats fine…
