I’m currently building a new website and after a few changes made, the page no longer showed up to preview.

After I press Save and Publish I go back to the site only to find my IP address was banned for too many login attempts.

`Your IP address was temporarily banned.

You may have been banned for one of the following reasons:

Failing to log into wordpress (wp-login) 10 times in 5 minutes (30 minute ban)
POSTING to xmlrpc.php more than once in 60 seconds (2 hour ban)
If you have a legitimate use for either of these cases please contact support.’

It might be better if you clone the wp-login.php without it’s functions leaving just the form on the page and call that in the customizer instead.

    Hi,

You really gave us a great idea, and we will consider doing this for the next update as it will solve a lot of issues that one can have with the security plugins. ??

    Regards,

    Hi there,

I just had the same problem yesterday. My web host banned my IP for too many attempted wrong/incorrect/invalid POSTS of login information to wp-login.php within a short period of time, when all I was doing was customizing the look and feel of the login page using the plugin. For now I have been whitelisted, but there needs to be a longer-term solution.

I hope you will have an update for this soon.

Many thanks for your work on this plugin!

I am also having this problem. While customizing the login page, the preview became stuck on loading. I reloaded or closed the page and afterwards I could not enter the website including wp-admin anymore (err connection timed out).

A different IP allowed me to visit the website.

I think it is blocked by ISP.

Is there a solution for this issue?

    Hello,

Are you using any plugins? If you do, please try to disable them and see if those are causing the issue.
If you can’t access your wp-admin anymore, you can change the name of the plugins folder.

    Best regards,
    Alexandra
