The curl extension is not detected?

    Hi, just wanted to test your plugin and as soon as I installed and activated it I receievd this message at the top:

    “The curl extension is not detected. Please install the extension first.”

    No other plugin ever told me I need to instal something else first/or that something is missing.

    What is this curl extension, what does it do, why do I need it and why do you not show/add a button to install this extension?

    The curl is a basic PHP extension and is required for using our plugin. It needs to be installed on your web hosting server.

    Thanks, for your quick reply but to be honest a bit more help would be really appreciated.

    So now I am stuck searching on Google to find this url extension to get it and then? If This is required for your plugin why dont you try to write a brief post about it where to get it and how to upload it to make it work for your plugin?

    Should this curl not be in the latest PHP version?

    So I even asked my hosting provider they told me it is installed. I even watched vides on how to create a php.ini file and add this part: extensions=curl_curl.dll

    Still I get the same message when I open WPVivid:”The curl extension is not detected. Please install the extension first.”

    So, pls be so kind and let me know how to get WPVivid to work without this message.

    PHP configuration is a server level configuration which we do not have permissions to change.

    Curl is a quite basic extension that is installed by default on 99% servers as far as we see. You should be able to easily install it from your web hosting control panel, or contact your web host to do that.

    After installing it, you may need to restart the web server to make the changes take effect.
