Setting up my WP installation together with self-hosted TypeSense installation on another host, getting the same error every time:

“The credentials could not be verified – please check your settings”

Double-checked the creds, the plugin logs are empty; also checked the TS installation with 3rdparty script — its up and available.

    What am I doing wrong?

    Hello @1allen ,

    Hope you are doing well.

The error message showing means the request to the TS server could not be established due to credentials. Can you verify that your WP site is able to authenticate to the TS server?

Regarding the logs, please make sure that the Debug and Error logs are enabled on the General tab. Then try saving again and if the error occurs again, click Fetch logs in the Logs tab.

    Hi!
Thanks for your response! Looks like there are some connectivity issues persist, I am working on it.

Though, both Debug and Error checkboxes are on and I still could not check the logs on my issue, at least using the plugins functionality — they are empty.

Let me know if I can provide any additional info.

Oh, looks like I’ve found some error info under the ‘Site Info‘ block, though it confirms the connectivity issues I am facing.

    Hi!
Sorry for my late reply, at first it was a connectivity issue, though I still can confirm it was unable to investigate using debug/error logs which were empty in my case.

    Thank you!
