The image 4 the “Coming soon” plugin from CSSJockey is always invisible in IE – but not in FF. Why so? Can anyone help?
By “image” I do not mean the background image – but the “coming soon” image.

esmi, I am sorry I forget. So here’s my site.

I can see the image fine in IE8 using both standard and compatibility mode.

esmi, the IE I am using is of ver. 6.0. So, is this the reason?

In fact, before posting my query here I’d informed CSSJockey about this. Mohit then mailed me his response – “Please find CSS Hacks on Google to fix the issues in ie6”. Believe me, I was shocked! As a non-techie why the hell should I indulge in such gory activities?

esmi, do you know what he is talking about?

Yes. IE6 is a pretty old browser. I’d suggest you upgrade asap.

Mohit is probably referring to adding some conditional comment CSS to the theme. as IE6 is such an old browser, I don’t think it’s reasonable to expect theme developers to add this sort of fix by default. They have plenty of work to do just getting things right in the more modern browsers.

esmi, I am not interested in any hacks at all. In any case, IE 8 or later is more common. If I go by your observation the “coming soon” image is visible in IE8. That’s good news.

    Conditional comments aren’t hacks.
