The “coblocks-site-design” plugin has encountered an error and cannot

Have you found a resolution to this error? I’m having the same issue.

Thank you for taking the time to make a report and to bump it as well. This is not one I can replicate its behavior. The lines indicated in the error message are related to network requests coming from the Google Fonts API and thus the unexpected eof while reading is referring to the Fonts API call – in other words we can not modify their outputs.

Doing a Google search around for the error It does seem that this exact type of error with OpenSSL is reported across many software stacks. Everything looks to be indicating a configuration or version issue with OpenSSL. I would advise you to check with your SSL implementation. I suggest your host or server administrator would be next to check with.

Like all of us with this problem I’ve tried all kinds of things. Scoured the net for articles and insights.

What I discovered that actually fixed my problem was so simple, but I can’t explain how it fixed the problem. While studying on this and other things I read somewhere about how installing a different theme then going back to the theme of your choice has fixed all kinds of problems. So I tried that. I downloaded a copy of Astra (currently I’m working in Go which I think is the origional authors theme he was working in, Activated it, moved around in a few pages. Did a cache purge. Switched back to Go and problem solved.

I hope someone finds this useful and it saves you some time.

Was making some content in the posts editor and click on Options -> CoBlocks Labs and the error came back. Had the mental clarity to take a couple screenshots. See if you can see the screenshot here. Hope this help somebody track down the cause/source of the error. That’s still a little ways from where I’m at for now. But I hope someone can use the info.

Thank you Todd. Moving to Astra and then back to Go theme did resolve the error pop up. Since I am not using the Posts editor as yet, I do not see the error. Thank you so much for the tip.

CoBlocks 3.1.9 was just released which includes a fix to an error condition with the Site Design extension. This should be unrelated to the ‘SSL’ errors reported earlier in the thread, but resolves an issue with Site Design regardless. If anyone else has The “coblocks-site-design” plugin has encountered an error and cannot be rendered. message, this new version of CoBlocks may resolve the issue.
