    Hi,
    I have this weird situation.

One of my themes feature dont work. I contact the creator of the theme, since it is still under support period, and he said that the problem is the plugin (which is very very commonly used visual editor).

I contacted the plugin support and they said that its not their problem and should contact the theme creator.

So who is wrong who is right?
I know who is missing needed feature thou.

    Tnx.

    Hi,

It’s difficult to say who is right or wrong without more information.

It may be helpful to isolate the issue by testing with other themes and plugins, and to provide detailed information to both parties. Additionally, it may be worth looking for alternative plugins or themes that provide similar functionality to see if they work better together.

I would say each support team is responsible to test the compatibility with your provided information on the used versions, error messages or screenshots indicating the issue etc.

I have been ping-ponging between both of them for a week and I kinda lost the point of everything.
I just wanted to know the opinion on this on someone else.

The only answer that anyone here can give without more information is that it could be either the theme or the plugin. There’s no possible way to know without at least the basic information about what your using. Even with that, it sounds like these are commercial products, and no one here has access to those (unless we’ve purchased our own licenses in the past) so we won’t be able to try much with them to see.

Unfortunately there’s really no better answer then that.

I wasn’t asking for help on fixing the problem, I was interested in the opinion, ethical wise ??
But since you mention it here are the battles:
One of them is Elementor PRO vs. Neeon theme from Radius Theme
The dark mode works when Elementor PRO is turned off.

Both websites are on different hosting and projects.

The other is Ad Inserter PRO vs Smush PRO
Website wont load when Smush PRO is activated.

In both cases the developers pass the ball to each other.

In that case, they are both right. Their theme/plugin works by itself and only breaks if you add something else outside of that theme/plugin, so what they have done is correct. What someone else has done is not their fault.

There is no right and wrong here. There’s a conflict, and that’s just how it goes sometimes when two or more things that aren’t developed together try to work together. What do you expect to hear? Something like “Oh, it’s the plugins fault…”? That’s not going to happen because it is not. It’s also not the themes fault either.

If you’re not looking for a solution, then let both companies know that there’s a conflict with the other theme/plugin and leave them be. They’ll either look into it or they won’t. There’s really nothing else that anyone could expect or say about it.

Thats what I did. I settled down with the missing features and went on with my life hoping that someday with an update it will magically work.
