I’m using this plugin which enables me to write in markdown. I think it overrides the default WP text editor. That may explain why your plugin’s button doesn’t appear.
However, I thought your plugin parsed the entire text and replaced every emoji pattern ?? with the respective image. That way, your plugin would work with or without the button. That would be an interesting improvement, because you would support any custom text editor the user has. What are your thoughts about this?
Finally, I’m not a client, I’m a user. And every user has the right to ask for support. A humble developer would be glad that someone uses his/her software and cares enough to ask questions about it, questions that may improve the product or fix a bug. If you build something and you can’t (or don’t want to) provide support, you should open-source it.
