Finding this plugin awful at the moment but I’m going to reach out here in the hope of getting some answers first before writing it off entirely.

There appears to be global settings in the plugin’s main settings and also individual block settings which can be used to override the defaults…(?)

Well when inserting the Gutenberg block in the page, none of the settings here change anything in the frontend. The block just uses everything from the default settings… So that’s clearly a major problem as the plugin may as well be useless – hopefully I am over-looking a configuration or something for this?

For example, I want to change the name of the title from ‘Helpie FAQ’ but setting this in the block’s title doesn’t change it at all.

    Running WordPress 5.8.

  • Hi @zigojacko ,

    Sorry about that.

We are already aware of this issue and has been added to the bug tracker already. We have other options, like using shortcodes (You can use specific attributes that would override the default settings) , Shortcode builder (for classic editor), Elementor FAQ widget, Using our FAQ Groups, etc..

Could you please use any of this until we fix it? I would make sure to let you know once that is pushed up.

Hope that helps. Let me know if there is anything else I could help you with.

    Kind Regards.

    Hi @zigojacko ,

I will make sure to get back to you on the same thread once the block editor issues are fixed.

    Kind Regards.

    Hello,

I’d be interested to hear the result of this too, as the default setting stylings are overriding code in the block editors and classic visual/text editors.

Mostly struggling with h3 to h6 headers!

    Thank you,

    Hi @ghilt ,

We do have the FAQ block issue in our backlog.

But, We have tons of other options like using shortcodes (You can use specific attributes that would override the default settings) , Shortcode builder (for classic editor), Elementor FAQ widget, Using our FAQ Groups, etc..

Why don’t you try one of these and check if these meet your needs?

Feel free to try these and let me know if you have any questions on it. I would be happy to help you.

    Kind Regards.

    Thank you for your help.
