The best way to store assets in WordPress? Don't!

I use Git to develop and deploy WordPress sites. I also usually keep all of a site’s assets inside of Git for smaller sites, as this adds another layer of backups. However, when a site starts getting a large number of image-heavy updates, it’s time to move the images and uploads out of WordPress and onto something like Amazon S3. This plugin makes it easy and painless. As for the paid version? Just go for it. The time you’ll save yourself is worth a lot more than what’s being charged here. Really solid stuff.
