The best theme for this plugin is:

Hello fellow MyMovieDatabase plugin users. I’ve seen quite a few users asking what the best theme is to use alongside this plugin, so I thought I’d give a little advise and insight, after wasting so much money, and time buying premium themes to work alongside this plugin.

I kept buying themes, which I found didn’t work out well, as I wanted to use a theme whilst still being able to use this plugin. After about 8 purchases and fails on what I pictured I wanted my wordpress site to look like, I finally found the perfect theme to work alongside the MyMovieDatabase plugin.

I purchased the Blockter theme from themeforest. And it works flawlessly with the plugin. In my mind I had a picture of exactly what I wanted my site to look like, what I wanted it to offer, and wanted to offer something other movie and series review websites don’t offer. So I also did have to hire a freelancer to also integrate the JustWatch API alongside this plugin. So that any Movie or series that I add to my site, it automatically shows which network the user can watch that movie or series on. So there isn’t hundreds of movies and series added just yet. But by Monday I’m hoping to have around 3000 added. It does look very customised, but the majority of the features come with the Blockter theme. And the theme along with this plugin both compliment each other perfectly. I’ve tried Semtex, Amy theme, Gloria theme, amongst many other. So if you don’t mind spending a little money (I think it was $49 what I paid for the theme) it comes with pre built pages and a demo install. And is well documented, so it’s super easy, even if you’re not too technical.

It has taken me some time, and as mentioned above, have had some customisations added. (Like the red blocks) but the theme really compliments the plugin, and shows the plugin off on a whole different level. The sliders, and the boxes all come with the theme, aswel as around 200 options where you can integrate My movie database plugin into the sliders and movie/series tabs.
From someone who has tried probably every free and premium theme out there, I wish someone had pointed me in the direction of this theme, it would of saved me countless time, and a lot of money. Because I’ve always used this plugin and am so used to it, I wanted to still use it. And the Blockter theme allows you to do just that, and much more.
