The BEST free plugins optimiser in the repository.

  • This has to be the BEST free plugin loading solution I’ve seen.

    I’ve tried Plugin Organizer (too convoluted), Plugin Load Filter (not enough control), and had a look at Asset Control (too convoluted, again).

    I have a few minor suggestions:
    1. A clearer and more marketable naming scheme. Maybe mention something about optimising/speed. Maybe point out that deactivation is *selective*. “SPEEDY: Selective Plugins Loader”, say.
    2. Shorter menu name. It wraps. Keep it simple and single line.
    3. User Interface. Stick to generic WP colours, or brighter pastel colours.
    4. Enable/disable by column group. It needs a checkbox above each column group, so that you can enable everything under WooCommerce, for example.

    Otherwise, WOW! What a great plugin!

    About point 4, you can already do what you mentioned.

    Below the plugin name, you will see a plugin icon. If you click it you can check/uncheck the plugin on all single posts. For more details see https://freesoul-deactivate-plugins.com/documentation/action-buttons/

    You’re welcome. I’m sure the pro’ version will be a real success.

    Re: Point 4, I’m aware that you can enable/disable by ENTIRE column or row, but there seems to be no feature to do the same with groups within the column. For example, to only enable on all WooCommerce pages.

    One more suggestion. The checkbox seems to have margins, which makes them unclickable in some areas. I would suggest replacing margins with padding, so you can click on the checkbox within each of the square spaces.

    Hi @thepopularizer really thank you for your suggestions.

    Next version 1.8.5 will have some filters to show on the screen only specific posts. It will be something as shown in the picture https://freesoul-deactivate-plugins.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/01/fdp-singles-filter.png

    On the right, you have “ALL” and some icons. Clicking on those icons you will filter e.g. all pages that are in the navigation, all WooCommmerce pages, all private pages… Then what you do with the settings will be applied only on the visible rows. So you will be able to filter all woo pages, disable a specific plugin on all woo pages, and then click on “ALL” to have again all pages.

    Of course, it’s not possible to take into account all kinds of pages related to all plugins, but for example, WooCommerce is supported.

    This is the reason why version 1.8.4 shows some icons next to the post title. It was the preparation for those filters.

    This is the easiest way to do it with FDP if you take into account how the plugin is structured, but if you have other ideas they are really welcome.
