The best diagnostic tool ever

  • How I got this far without knowing about this tool is beyond me. After reporting a problem with my website to the authors of my theme and plugin, someone alerted me to the existence of this plugin, and within minutes of installing, I had found the point at which the incompatibility arose.

    After downgrading one of my plugins, my site is running perfectly again.

    This plugin deserves a perfect 5-star rating. I would like to make one suggestion for improvement… it would be helpful to see the release date displayed for each plugin version, so a person would be able to estimate by date which version of a plugin would be most appropriate to roll back to.

    Thanks for the kind rating. That’s some good feedback about the date of the release. I’ll see if that data point exists. If it does, we’ll surely add it.

    I responded immediately to your email, and only now noticed that the response was routed to a “noreply” email address. So, I’ll repost my answer here…

    If there is no data point in your database with the release date, you can probably use the date stamp on the .zip file used to do the installation.

    I just had occasion to use the WP Rollback plugin again, and I see that version 1.5 has a change log with the plugin’s release date. Thank you for being responsive to user suggestions.
