The best combination of plugins for user-edited directory?

Hi, I wonder if anyone can help me. I’m trying to create a directory of musicians using WordPress, and would like the following functionality:

1) Individual profile pages for each musician, with fields such as ‘influences’, ‘albums’, etc, which should then be searchable. These will be created and edited by the musicians themselves.
2) Current information posted on these same pages, also by the musicians of the tweet or microblog variety. (Alternatively this could just be a feed of their twitter account, for example.)
3) Links to relevant commercial vendors (such as through the Amazon affiliate network) and other websites of interest – again on the musicians’ main profile page, and updatable both by themselves and the administrator.

I have been trying for days to work out the best combination of plugins to achieve this, and have so far not succeeded. If anyone has any suggestions, I would be very grateful! Thank you!
