• I have been using Algolia since its early days. I have been manually testing the pre-release versions for a few months now. I believe I had started back in June 2016.

I came from another instant search solution that changed their pricing model. I was skeptical at first about Algolia. The first time I tried it, I was sold. The #1 thing that this solution gives you is the speed. It is lightning quick. With so many options in the WordPress Admin panel, you can easily customize which Post Types you want indexed.

Support has been exemplary. These guys know their code quite well. They helped me with every step of the way, including configuration with WooCommerce.

I have recently implemented Instantsearch on my site lately as well. It works as an excellent and faster (and inexpensive) alternative to WP Facet. With the Instant Search facility, you can easily define facets for filtering search results all via AJAX. No page reload required!

I am still trying to work on some other issues, like mobile view customization. But all in all, this is (in my opinion), the fastest search solution available for WordPress.

Hi @amitramani, again, thank you for all the hard work supporting the development of the plugin!

We are about to release version 1.3.0 which will come with a lot of optimizations and bug fixes. Then our focus will be to create a WooCommerce search plugin.

Regarding mobile, we tried to already provide some sensible default CSS rules so that the autocomplete and instant search page display nicely on every device. That being said, it is sometimes difficult to write styles that are compatible with every theme.

If you have any issue regarding the styling, please open an issue on: https://github.com/algolia/algoliasearch-wordpress/issues

We’d gladly spend some time making the mobile search experience even better!
