• I had this issue and it seems others are posting about it as well.

    I tried many many things and then discovered the solution – I decided to check the html of the page in Text view of the editor and saw that I had a
    &nbsp
    at the very end of the page, right after a table.
    I deleted it and the issue went away.

    I am no developer and love WP and totally appreciate everything that is being done by all the people working on WP, so I feel like an amateur giving some feedback to the experts, but I would like to report this as a possible bug for your consideration.

    My guess is that the version of the page that is being stored in the browser is having the &nbsp stripped out of it by the browser, and therefore WP core sees a difference between the browser copy and the copy in the editor and then incorrectly reports:

    “The backup of this post in your browser is different from the version below.”
