    Hello.
    I am using Updraft Plus for a while now with no issues. Since 02 Oct 2019 I get the error message ”The backup is being aborted due to a repeated failure”. Updraft Plus version 1.6.17, WP 5.2.4, latest Theme. I even changed the split size to 75MB but no luck…
    The latest backup.log file below. Please advise.

    Hi,

    It shows that the backup process is timed out or killed off.

    Could you try to reduce the backup archive split size. This will split the backup into smaller, more manageable files.

    To do this, open the ‘expert settings’ section of the UpdraftPlus Settings tab, and find the ‘split backups every’ option. Set this to 50mb, save your settings and run a new process.

    If the issue persists, please ask your hosts/server admin to investigate their PHP error logs. These logs should contain more information on the exact issue that is causing the backup process to halt.

    I reduced the backup archive to 50MB and tried a new backup.
    I also updated Updraft to the latest version today.
    PHP error logs include nothing relevant to Updraft…
    The only thing it comes to mind is that around 2 Oct 2019 (when the problem begun) I must have updated PHP to ver. 7.3.
    Any suggestions at all?

    Hi,

    Apologies for the late reply.

    Are you still having problems with your backups?
    Can you also try to update to latest version 1.16.20 please?
    Run a new backup and if still fails send us a copy of the backup log.
