Hi, I love this plugin, however it seems that this feature doesn’t work at all on mobiles.

Every time I load a page of my website on a smartphone there is a big white space on the area where the image should be. It takes about 1-2s to lazy load the image and then the image appears and the text jumps to the top, right under the image.

On desktop, the spacing seems to work well, apart from gallery images, where there is no space at all.

On mobile, I think it has something to do with the responsive image sizes. Is there anything that can be done? I am already using the function for not lazy loading the first picture of the post, but still, it’s only working for posts but not for category pages, etc.

    Thanks a lot.

On category pages and in the widget under each post. There is a post grid with pictures:

Okay, and on which OS/browser combination?

Android, both Firefox and Chrome. Actually, now it seems it does it even on desktop, it’s just not that apparent because desktop loads much faster.

BTW, I am using Genesis framework with a post grid plugin.

Thanks for the information! When I throttle the internet connection I see it on desktop.

What plugin do you use for minification of the markup? I am asking because I see that there are no " for the data-aspectration attribute values, maybe that has something to do with it.

I use W3 Total Cache and nothing else. Should I try to disable it?

Yes, could you try if the issue also appears with the plugin disabled?

I am not really sure, I tried to disable W3TC and even all other plugins but I was still getting it randomly, but It was not as that significant as with all plugins enabled. Also, I have recently changed my hosting provider and CDN as I was having other issues as well, and it seems to be much better now. Nevermind, you can consider it as resolved.

Actually, I have disabled most of the options on the plugin’s settings page as they were slowing down my website. Only left the lazysizes aspectratio plugin activated, now everything is fine and it is only lazy-loading the post entry.

Just enabling what you really need is always a good idea ??
