The admin page is not showing any comments

    My wordpress admin is not showing any comments in comments area, although it shows a number of pending comments but when i click on Pending it shows following message,
    No comments awaiting moderation.

    I have approved comments which are visible on my website but from admin when i click on Approved comments it shows following message,
    No comments found.

    Please help in resolving this issue.

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

    – resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    – re-uploading all files & folders – except the wp-content folder – from a fresh download of WordPress. Make sure that you delete the old copies of files & folder before uploading the new ones.

    *renaming the plugins folders from FTP so that there should not be any issue with the inactive plugin

    *switching to the default theme
    No luck so far…

    That’s not twentytwelve… How old is that theme?

    Its Box tube. i don’t have any issue with the theme, Its the admin panel which is not showing the comments.

    Site is working properly

    Do the comments show up in twentytwelve? If not, follow the last step esmi suggested above:

    – re-uploading all files & folders – except the wp-content folder – from a fresh download of WordPress. Make sure that you delete the old copies of files & folder before uploading the new ones.

    i don’t have any issue with the theme

    But the theme could well be affecting your admin display. Can we see your site using the Twenty Twelve theme with all plugins deactivated?

    Last Friday, when comments issue didn’t resolve with default theme i reverted to BoxTube Theme and left the site with all deactivated plugins.

    Today when i logged in to admin, i found all the comments were visible.
    Amazing ?? but it happened.

    Till now its working perfectly.
