The about me on my home page won’t work

  • Hey guys, sorry to trouble you with what I’m sure is a totally inane question. For some reason the about me won’t work on my home page. I’ve filled out the information in the little field that WordPress provides under users and then profile, and that information now shows up on the seperate about me page. But what I really want is like a mini blurb about me on the front page with a custom pic if possible.     Still no luck to this even though I have scaned through the header.php, and sidebar.php. by the way to sum the problem up I can’t get the “about me” in the side bar to show anything personal, even though I’ve filled in my about me page. Is there anything I can do to fill this in manually. I’m assuming that usually the side bar “about me” is drawn from the main page. Am I wrong?
