The 2.7.0 update has kicked off.
-
Hi there!
The 2.7.0 update is underway! This update will be developer focused.
With it, I want to clean up the whole code base to improve performance and reduce resource usage. This update is aimed for a better API and code documentation, which I tend to automate in the future.
This update does not aim to do anything for general users. So you can’t expect any new features (unless Google suddenly changes algorithm).
However, new features are underway; but they’ll be delivered through extensions. This update will lay new grounds for such extensions.What this means is that the plugin is done and will be perfected.
This ultimately leads to a super-stable plugin. Of course, as WordPress progresses, I need to keep up :).Keep in mind that some never-used functions will be deleted, like that required for network functionality.
The progression of this update can be followed through GitHub. Because of how the GitHub update notification system works, all commits will be pushed directly to the Master branch.
You can follow the updates here. And by hitting the “watch” button at the top, you will be notified. Depending on your settings, this might result in a few emails per day.
Feel free to open issues, if you find any.
Every change will be documented in a detailed log; you can follow this log directly in the readme.txt file under
== Changelog ==
.This update will be written synonymous and as a response to this extension. This extension is aimed to be open for third party additions; so if you feel like contributing, go ahead! ??
Until further notice, please keep in mind that the Master Branch on GitHub is unsuited for production websites and is untested in real-world situations. Use at own risk.
I think this covers it. Have a great day!
