  • Thanks for adding these cute little emoticons to the WP core. Another thing that needs to be disabled on every WP install. Emoticons should stay in plugin land, not forced on millions and millions of users. Think of the time that will be wasted with this bad decision. At least give us an option to disable them.

    Thank you to the author of this plugin – a real time saver.

    I’m guessing some people find them useful, or they wouldn’t be in core. On the bright side, it looks like much of this junk can be removed in time, whilst still supporting emoji’s. So perhaps in 5 years or so this plugin will become redundant and core can get rid of the extra cruft whilst still supporting emoji’s.
