Thank You Microsoft!

  • My blog which looks perfect in IE 6, Mozilla, Opera, Safari and even Konquerer, is simply a JUMBLED MESS in the new and “improved” Microsoft Internet Explorer 7. I imagine this won’t be the last post to deal with this disaster. Thanks Microsoft for your infinite inability to cope with CSS!!!

  • Out of curiosity, does your blog validate (xhtml and CSS)?

    Um. Well. IE7 is almost INFINITELY preferable to any previous MS attempt at a browser. The problem is now and will be for quite some time that people have contorted themselves and css to hack sites so that those previous MS attempts at a browser don’t drop the 90% of the ‘net-viewing world which uses MS’s abortions into some black hole of totally unusable idiocy.

    Welcome to the web-dev’s world. No, there’s not an easy fix. Sorry. And don’t please assume that MS cares.

    I checked my design.. and well just some minors bugs.. nothing serious thanks god..

    At least they did improve some things.. then again it seems to have brought some sites to a black hole indeed

    ie7 ought not be a surprise to anyone.

    HandySolo- I’ve been running my site locally only, (fortunately I have access to many local server configs and platforms), so I cannot confirm that everything validates. I suspect that it does, however, since it looked PERFECT in IE6.
