I can understand the block editor idea (I like it and prefer it) but you changed EVERYTHING at once. It took me a while just to figure out the top block is the official post title, and even longer to figure out the permalink edit functions. These were simple, self explanatory fields before. Also Gutenberg didn’t seem to play well with SEO Press SEO. I also can’t figure out how to hide fields like we can in classic editor with the “Screen Options” pull down.
I’m reminded of the Window 8 fiasco where EVERYTHING was changed in one big release. I spent more (valuable) time trying to figure out the editor than writing and producing content. Before you claim it’s just basic, free, open source software run by volunteers, it’s not. I pay a lot for official Automatic plugins for our Woocommerce installs ($2500+ annually between our sites and multiple Automatic accounts) I now have to pay my writers their hourly rate to figure out the new work flow. Time is money. At least we have a classic version now (it sucks we have to add another plugin) to get some work done.
