texturize problem: quotation mark followed by punctuation character

Hi. I’m running WP 1.2.2, and I seem to be having a problem with texturize. A closing ” character followed by a punctuation character is not being converted into ” by texturize. See here:

However, I went over to Matt’s texturize page

and entered the same strings and they were converted correctly. I assume that Matt has made some changes to texturize since 1.2.2. Does anyone know how I could incorporate those changes into my site (i.e. back port them to my version of 1.2.2)?
