• Hello,

I tried to install the Textile 2 plugin (Packaged by Adam Gessaman. By Jim Riggs.) onto my WordPress 2.2 blog. The blog isn’t new, it has hundreds of entries written with the “plain” editor (not WYSIWYG). As soon as I activate Textile, my main page shows only the header and the title of the latest post – nothing more. Did anyone else have this problem ?

I realize this probably happens because Textile 2 assumes all the posts are written in Textile and is called as a filter whenever a new post is posted. Isn’t there another way to apply Textile ? I would prefer to select some box when I’m editing, and for Textile to run then (and save HTML rather than Textile in the DB).

  • Are you on Dreamhost, by any chance?

I have the same problem, and I am on Dreamhost… Is there a solution?

How long have you had this problem? Did you just install Textile 2 or were you using Textile 2 before and it suddenly stopped working?

Incidentally, eliben got back to me – he’s not on Dreamhost. So the problem isn’t limited to Dreamhost. No idea why it works on some hosts and not on others (or why it would suddenly stop working on a given host).
