Textbook – How to Resolve Hentry and Hatom Error for Google Structured Data

    Hi,

    I need help to resolve the Hentry and Hatom Error for my Textbook theme. I am seeing following error in Google Structured Data for Post, Category and Page. These are for Hentry as well as Hatom microformats.

    Missing: author
    Missing: updated

    I tried some of the generic solutions by editing single.php and page.php, but nothing helped!

    I there, if you are testing in Webmaster Tools, that is not always completely up to date, and can show errors and warnings on pages/posts where there aren’t any. I would suggest using: https://search.google.com/structured-data/testing-tool . That comes back clean on your site.

    Yes, I was testing in Websmaster Tools. So, based on your suggestion, I’ll ignore this as Structured data testing tool giving clean results.

    Glad that works for you. Not sure why the two differ. I guess the Webmaster equivalent doesn’t get as much attention. ??
