    Hello,
I’m just putting up my blog here – https://osteo-solutions.com/blog/ I used the Ocean View theme (the file is called tye-dyed-1 for some reason).
I have changed the css file a lot and I’m pretty happy with it but I can’t seem to find the place where the main post font is black. I did a search for #000000 and changed them all to dark blue but my main post text doesn’t change.
Also I don’t like how the text changes to 1.5 spacing after the first paragraph. Does anyone know where to change that?
    Thanks a lot,
    Pam

  • Whenever you have display problems, check the validator:
    https://validator.w3.org/check?verbose=1&uri=http%3A%2F%2Fosteo-solutions.com%2Fblog%2F
this might solve the line height

As for the color: there is NO colour defined for your fonts. It should be either in the body or main or content or… whichever level you want to do it.

Thanks Moshu, that solved the color problem. But that validator just confused me. It says I have 5 errors – like this one – Error Line 129, column 9: end tag for “ul” which is not finished .
I have no idea how to access that source code to change it. I thought all that was automatic. I can access the html for my posts but this is not in post, it seems to be in the template.
Will it matter if I ignore it?
    Thanks a lot,
    Pam

    You certainly can “ignore” it.
A good way to check exactly where the errors are is to check the Show Source box and click Revalidate.
Every line# will become a clickable link taking you exactly to the error’s location.

I did that Moshu, I can see the error in the source code – but I can’t correct the errors. When I go back to my control panel I don’t know how to change line 143 or whatever.
I only have access to the html of my posts – not all that other html in the source code.
Sorry to be such a pest but I would like it to validate.
    Thanks for your help,
    Pam

This article may help you sort some of that out: https://www.samdevol.com/wordpress-troubleshooting-i-have-to-validate-oh-my/

That’s wonderful, just what I needed.
    Thanks again,
