I’ve used this plugin on several sites “out of the box” with just design changes, and I really love it! However I’m having trouble on a new site after the last plugin update: the content length is equivalent to the container length and acts as though the content shouldn’t be longer than the container.

My ticker content is 1,500 pixels wide, and my ticker container is 1,170 pixels wide, but the ticker wraps at 1170px so that the rest of it (text) shows up on a second line. If I also attempt to make it responsive, the layout breaks – the dnt wrapper, container and content scrolls off to the left and won’t size down no matter how I write the divs and overflows. I suspect whatever the content/container issue is, if resolved, would fix the responsive issue, too.

I don’t know if this is a contributing factor, but I noticed that if I set a length to the ticker via the “Ticker Mode” option, it doesn’t work unless I also set the length of the “Global Settings” option to the same size. They’re not working independently.

Would appreciate any ideas for a solution!

Could you provide a link to your site so I can check it out?

Usually when something like this happens it’s due to another element on the screen not being responsive (though it may be hidden from view) and then the ticker is just filling 100% width based on it containing element. So, it seems like the ticker is not resizing, but it could really be due to another element not resizing correctly.

Also, make sure the Global width is set to “0” or cleared out. Any global width will make the ticker a static width and it won’t resize.

    Hi there!

I did as you said, changed Global Width to “0” and it now works perfectly. For the wrapping text, I had to also change Ticker Mode width to “0” and now nothing is cut off, the full text shows. This seems different than in the past but I won’t question it, I’m happy it’s working!

Now if I can figure out how to show all the tickers from the header php function, I’d be happy, but that’s a different issue.

    Thank you so much!
