• Hello,

I have been following along and searching the forum for an answer to this queastion and have seen that some people are having a similiar problem.

Here it is: My text widgets and phpexec widgets are no longer accepting input or for that matter I can’t erase what’s in them either….

Now, I am wondering if it is a permission issue but I can’t seem to find just where my “text” is being stored from these tricky widgets…. I completely deleted and removed the widget plugin and all the other widget plugins and when I reinstalled them my old text came back!!!

I removed my theme and changed to other themes as well and back came my text… can’t change it can’t erase it…

Now I know I probably did add something between when it started and when I figured it out this was happening, after all it’s wordpress all we do is change things! I am wondering if it is a problem with the K2 Kubruick template and the widget plugin fighting each other or at least overinstalled something on each other. I know K2 has it’s own “side bar” management system but it doesn’t allow me to use the widgets I want. To make matters even more complicated, I even removed the K2 Template and switched to another one and I still get the PERMANENT Text problem. It’s like it’s cloaked in an invulnerability “cheat” or something…

    Any help? PLEASE!!!

    Joe

  • anyone got any ideas on this?

I’m having almost the same exact problem! I’m wondering; where the text inside the text widgets is stored? If we can find that then we can change or delete what is in that text.

If you are at 2.2 and using Otto’s Executable PHP widget, widget then make sure you download the ‘fixed’ widget.php available in the comments section of Otto’s site.
