Text Widget URL problems

I am using the text-widget to add a list of website links to the sidebar. Whenever I add a link, it adds the full url of my site to the beginning automatically.
https://www.twitter.com becomes https://www.mysite.comhttps://www.twitter.com
Gaahhh!
