Text widget disappears when logged out

I used a text widget to add simple text above the ajax login widget on my sidebar. When I log out, the text (from the text widget disappears). I tried adding a few text widgets to test and it does it to all of them.

This doesn’t happen when I remove the ajax login widget from the sidebar and then logout. Then, the text will be there when I logout.

I also had a text widget in the sidebar for Google adsense code. This actually still is visible when I log out with the ajax login visible in the sidebar.
