  • This is what I’ve been trying to accomplish for the past hour too. To place widgets and sub menu items anywhere and before one another…

The only I found way so far was to use only the widgets – the text widget and the custom menu widget. But you’ll have to discard the current menu and create a custom menu only with the sub-items.

But if you have many submenu categories like me, then you’ll be creating a bunch of custom menus.

And you’ll have to style the custom menus – not sure how to do that easily yet.

Jup interested in this as well.. Would like to use the text widgets as “heading” and then drag the submenu items beneath them.

Will try it with an all new created menu but this seems far fetched, a drag and drop functionality would be ideal. So you can set the widgets and submenu items in de desired order..

Not sure how you guys want to use it, but I think this solution will work for me:

    Yeah cool.

I’ll be using only widgets+custom menus – because I don’t want to make unnecessary pages just for the headings…

Romanko, you could add a custom link to the menu to use as the headings instead of creating a new page if it helps.

It will be nice to be able to mix and match widgets and second level menu items, but it is a big job, it will totally change how menu items and widgets are stored by MMM (actually MMM only stores widgets, it doesn’t store the menu items – wordpress does that bit, and that’s the problem). I do plan on doing it, but first I need to work out “how” ??

    Regards,
    Tom
