    Hello,

    Awesome plugin!

I am setting up some photo albums on a client’s gallery page, and for some reason there is bizarre and inexplicable text displaying on the page. I cannot figure it out for the life of me. I have uninstalled the plugin, reinstalled, and even performed the reset process with NextGEN Gallery Reset plugin. That didn’t seem to do anything, as all the settings and the strange text seem to be coming back.

    The page is here:

    https://staging.kitchensandbathsbydesign.com/gallery/

The glaring examples are the text “Miscellaneous” showing above the Kitchens gallery, and the text “Office Spaces” showing above the Bathrooms gallery.

For what it’s worth, the “Miscellaneous” and “Office Spaces” text only showed up once I added additional album to the page. That is to say: when I had ONLY the kitchen gallery on the page and that was the only album, it did not have this strange text above it. Now, however, the rogue text always shows up whether there is only one album on the page or if there are four. It only seems to be with these two albums, too. It is very puzzling.

If there is no obvious fix for this, I would love it if I could completely erase 100% of the traces of this plugin, then start over from scratch because I love the functionality of this plugin both from an admin and a website visitor perspective. I’m sure it’s a cache or database reference issue that’s just stuck.

Thanks in advance for any help you can offer!

@brettroby – The text your are seeing is the album breadcrumb(s). You can either disable that option for the specific inserted displays and/or use some custom CSS to hide it as needed (which may depend on aesthetics as well as expected functionality you are looking for).

    Thanks!

Thanks, but that’s actually not the breadcrumbs. Please have another look. Take a look at the “Kitchens” album on the page linked in the previous post of mine. Directly above that album thumbnail stack (before you click into it) it says the word “Miscellaneous.” That is not a link, a path, or any navigational attribute. It’s really just a random bit of text and it doesn’t make sense or belong there.

Please also look at the album “Bathrooms” and note the text “Office Spaces” above it. There’s no reason for that to be there.

The peculiar thing is that these random text bits that show up are coincidentally ALSO the names of OTHER albums. It’s very strange.

Breadcrumbs are deactivated for the albums and the website as a whole.

@brettroby – The text is wrapped in the NextGEN Gallery breadcrumbs container (see https://take.ms/ifm76); and, you might still have the breadcrumbs option enabled for those specific displays; or, possibly using a NextGEN Legacy template which do not support all options (and are included for backward compatibility sake only).

    Thanks!

@photocrati – Thanks! It appeared as though all of the breadcrumbs are/were already disabled; however, I went in to each album AGAIN and re-inserted them. This seemed to resolve the display issue.
