Hey @farallon5,
Variable products have their own Description field, as shown on this web page. Only problem is, text entered there does not appear anywhere. How can I get these descriptions to start appearing?
I’ve performed some cross-testing for us today on several of my sites which have the latest versions of WordPress, WooCommerce and our free Storefront theme as the only enabled software. When doing so I’ve not been able to replicate the behaviour which you describe with variation descriptions not displaying.
Below is a screenshot of a test description I added to one of my sites variations.

Here is a screenshot of that description displaying for the customer.

This indicates that something on your site other than our WooCommerce plugin is having a negative effect and causing this behaviour which you are experiencing. Usually, isolated behaviour like what you describe and which has not displayed during our cross-testing can be related to code with another plugin or a theme which is causing a potential conflict of some kind.
Have you tested on your site by disabling all other plugins aside from WooCommerce along with switching to a theme like Storefront to try and locate what software you have installed which could possibly be causing this behaviour?
Once you have disabled all other plugins and switched theme if the behaviour is resolved you can then enabled your theme and sites plugins testing after each one is enabled until the behaviour returns to locate the culprit.
I hope this helps.
