Text pins

  • Hello, and thank you for an excellent plugin!

    I’m trying to replace pin images with text (country names over a map image) through CSS befores and afters, but the hover action for pin popups only seems to work with the image pins. When I hover the text, the image is changed to its hover variant, but the tooltip doesn’t appear. I need to hover the image itself for the toolpip to appear. Even changing the pin image’s visibility to hidden prevents the relevant js from working and showing tooltips.
    How do I go about replacing pins with text place markers?

    Found a way with transparent images and lots of CSS.
    Client decided to go back to pins instead of text.
