I have a button, which if I insert normal text as a part of the shortcode it works fine. If I use the <h2> or any other heading tag in the shortcode text, the box no longer resizes with the text.

e.g. [maxbutton id="1" text="yourtext"] works fine but [maxbutton id="1" text="<h2>yourtext</h2>"] breaks the button resizing. It does display the heading text, just the text overflows and the button stop resizing correctly.

You should style the text in the button editor, not any heading to it, this could break the button itself.

That said, probably your theme styling takes over on those headings.

Thanks for the reply, much appreciated.

I did see see the font and size in the editor, however I haven’t seen anything for setting the heading tag. Is this possible?

You can put a button in a heading, if there is a reason for that. But the styling will probably change based on your theme.
