Text Not showing up in post

  • I’ve been having some trouble with wordpress that I installed via FTP on my site sweseek.com. I’m not sure what the problem is. At first when I tried to add plugins the screen would just go white and it would freeze there.

    I uninstalled and reinstalled wordpress several times and it keeps having bugs.

    Now when I go to write a post it will type it out but no text will show up inside of the post box unless I highlight it with the mouse.

    Also, the yoast plugin is acting up and is not showing up correctly.

    I’m not sure what the problem could be, can anyone help me?

    Is it the new update?

  • Time to go thru a standard debug.
    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

    – resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    I deactivated all plugins and switched to default theme and still the same result.

    How do I reset the plugins folder by ftp?

    I deleted everything in the plugins folder from ftp and there is still no text displayed in the box when I go to write a post.

    Via FTP or your host’s file manager, navigate to the wp-contents folder (directory)
    Via FTP or your host’s file manager, rename the folder “plugins” to “plugins.hold”
    Login to your WordPress administration menus (/wp-admin)
    Via FTP or your host’s file manager, rename “plugins.hold” back to “plugins”

    Commercial themes are not supported on this forum.

    You should also upgrade WordPress as soon as possible.

    I just tried this to no avail. I don’t know what else to do as I’ve already deleted wordpress and reinstalled it.

    any ideas?
