Text "Like this:Like Loading…" appears at the end of posts

    I have a webstie at https://www.danward.ch which has worked fine for some time but for some reason recently the text “Like this:Like Loading…” has appeared at the end of posts used on the featured slider on the home page. I did not write this text, and it does not appear on the posts when they are in the News section, but just in the featured slider. I have tried turning off the “show likes” function – in case it was caused by that – but it does not go away.

    Can anyone help?

    The theme I am using is Catch Everest on WordPress 4.0.

  • Don’t think this is a slider problem, to me it looks more like you have a plugin (Jetpack maybe) which shows likes (thumbs up) for posts.

    The text on the slider is taken from your description / post so I’d look for the problem there.

    Thanks Robvdn for the feedback. I have checked the posts and there’s nothing wrong there, and when i allow them to appear on the “news” section the odd text (Like this:Like Loading) is not there. It only happens on the featured slider… i’ve also tried turning off all the “like” options. but i’ll check again some more…. Whats also strange is that this didn’t happen for the last year, only recently, and the site has not been changed. Cheers, DAN (www.danward.ch)

    Hey Robvdn, you solved it! i check the Jetpack and deactivated likes on there, and the problem went away (previously i have just turned off the likes on all pages, but that wasn’t enough). Thanks a lot! DAN

    Problem solved… Jetpack issue. Deactivated likes there.
