• Hi. I have a problem of text letters becoming of different size (a few letters in each word have a different size from the rest) after being pasted from clipboard. The text displays just fine but when I do text search in a web browser the browser doesn’t recognize the text. Also, Google adds “translate this page” next to my articles in SERPS even though the text displayed on the pages is in English.
The content is being written in a non-English speaking country so I assume it’s some kind of fonts problem. Does anyone know what it is and how I can fix it?

  • pasting can sometimes contain html/css formatting – to avoid this, try and use the ‘paste as plain text’ button in the visual editor.

or check the problem post/page with the editor in html mode, to see if there is extra formatting in the text (and remove this if neccessary).

please post a link to the problem site, pointing to a post/page with the issue.

    Hi. Thanks for your response.

I have tried to paste the text as plain text but it’s still the same. The html looks fine too. The problem is in the actual text itself. For example, here’s a snippet: “Yoga has been practiсed over two thousand years. Hаtha style yoga combines”

The second “c” letter in the word “practiced” in the snippet above isn’t being read by my web browser when I do a text search (ctr+F) for this word, as well as the first letter “a” in the word “hatha”. It’s strange because all the other letters are being recognized just fine.

It’s possible it’s your database encoding. What is yours set to? Latin1 or UTF8?

I’m not sure. How do I check?
